Soundwave gigs


Soundwave 2010 is a celebration of local music and bands and runs from Friday 24 to Saturday 31 July.

Saturday 24 July – Soundwave grand opening concert

Newhaven Fort, Fort Road, Newhaven, BN9 9DS

Soundwave 2010 kicks off with an amazing night of rock, ska and indie, featuring special guests Vier.

Doors open: 7pm to 9.30pm.
Entry: £1 for under 18s, students and unwaged, £2 for adults.
This is a no alcohol event.

Bands include:

  • Vier – special guests,
  • The Offbeats,
  • Jo Kalo,
  • The Montagues, and
  • Sweet Addiction.

Friday 30 July - Leftfield night

All Saints Centre, Friars Walk, Lewes, BN7 2LE.

If an alternative night is your thing, then come along to this gig featuring special guests Prince Harry and the Hamilton Yams.

Doors: 7.30pm to 10pm.
Entry: £1.00 for under 18s, students and unwaged, £2.00 for adults.
This is a no alcohol event.

  • Hamilton Yarns* special guests,
  • Prince Harry* special guests,
  • Junior Starfish, and
  • Ruby Rose.

ThursdayThursday 29 July – Seaford youth music scene

The Salts Recreation Ground , Richmond Rd, Bishopstone, Seaford, East Sussex BN25 1DR

Enjoy the sea, beach, park and music, featuring DJs and bands from Seaford.
Times: 4pm to 7pm.
Entry: free.

Saturday 31 July – Soundwave grand finale concert

The Joff playing field, Roderick Avenue, Peacehaven, BN10 8BL

Soundwave closes this year’s festival with a free concert at The Joff playing fields in Peacehaven.
Bring a picnic and enjoy!

Times: 2pm to 5pm.
Entry: free
This is a no alcohol event.

Bands include:

  • Nameless Dreams,
  • Unstable,
  • The Barking Mads,
  • Seed of Gug, and
  • Stormbird.

Jellyfish will be broadcasting a weekend of live shows, concerts, radio plays and interviews from Soundwave 2010 across the web!
