Do you play a brass instrument? Are you grade 5 or above and aged 14 or over? If you’d like to play with some of the best young brass players in the county, you can apply to join the East Sussex Brass Band (ESBB).

ESBB perform all over the county and beyond. In 2008 we even went on a four day tour to West Lothian in Scotland. We also perform each year at the East Sussex Music Service Summer School.

The band is currently conducted by Marcus Plant, a full time brass teacher with the East Sussex Music Service and regional leader for the Eastbourne Area Music Centre.

During the Summer School ESBB often invites well-known conductors from the brass band world to conduct, so you’ll be learning from the best.

Brass and percussion players need to be minimum grade 5 and aged 14 or above.
