As well has having some of the country’s most talented skateboarders and BMX riders, Hastings is home to the Whiterock Gardens Skate Park and the UK's only cradle.

The park wouldn’t exist without the hard work of local skateboarders and the support of the East Sussex Youth Development Service Detached Team.

The Detached Team runs indoor and outdoor competitions at the skate park.

Who can use the skate park?

Skateboarders and BMX riders can use the skate park.
You cannot use a scooter there because it is too dangerous.

How Whiterock Gardens Skate Park was created

Whiterock Gardens Skate Park cost a total of £215, 000 to build. Local skateboarders raised this money from Hastings Borough Council, YouthBank and from the Boyley Fund.
