Hi, my name is Louise, I’m 12 and I live in a small group home. I’m going to explain a bit about what happens where I live.
There are four kids and seven members of staff. We have different rules that depend on our ages. For example, the time we go to bed depends on how old we are. I have to go to bed at 9.30pm but at 16 you get to go to bed at 10.30 pm.
We also have pocket money which is done by your age too. I have £3.50 a week but at 16 you have £8.72. But if you misbehave you get put on supervised pocket money. We have reward money too for things like tidying our bedrooms or eating five fruit and veg a day.
I like living there because we can tell each other how we feel. We are all in the same position and the staff understand you so they know how to help you out.
