Access to Music is the UK's leading popular music college. Its Brighton Centre, based at Enterprise Point on Melbourne Street, offers a wide range of courses for school leavers and adults covering the following subject areas:
- Foundation Music

What is a Football Academy?
It's a two-year, full-time education and football development programme delivered by Lewes Football Club. The academic course provides a Level 2/3 VRQ (Vocationally Related Qualification) in Sport, and all you need is a Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
The Academy is a great way of combining a practical qualification, including the FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate (it also allows later entry onto a Foundation Degree), with top-level football coaching.

So, what’s on offer?
This 6-week programme will help you to find work and will give you two weeks' work experience in a job which you are interested in. This gives you the opportunity to see if it’s something you really want to do as well as giving you valuable skills and ‘real’ experience to put on your CV.
This could lead to further training or even a job. We'll do our best to find you work at the end of the programme.
We will support you along the way and will come to visit you at your placement to make sure that everything is ok.
You will also get some really useful training which a lot of employers ask for. This includes:
- First aid
- Food Hygiene
- Helath and Safety Awareness
You'll learn how to sell yourself and how best to present yourself to local employers and businesses.
We'll give you breakfast, pay your travel expenses and take you out and about on visits to local businesses and employers to look at future opportunities.

The Motivational Preparation College for Training (MPCT) is offering pre-apprenticeship qualifications in:
- Public Services
- Functional skills in maths and English
- Certificate in personal and social development
The courses are suitable for anyone who is 16 - 19 and not in education, employment or training.

The Coach Sussex Bursary is targeting coaches delivering sport across the county. The bursary will provide coaches with the opportunity to complete a level 1 or 2 coaching qualification, funding 75% of the course cost, up to £150 for a level 1 and £200 for a level 2.
The deadline for applications has now passed but watch out for a new round of applications in Spring 2013.

- Lasts 12 weeks
- Is 16 hours a week
- Offers support with transport
- Works with groups of 8 to 10

Re-engagement will support you throughout the programme and as you progress onto mainstream college courses, training or work. You can start at any time!
